Liverpool and Arsenal linked with Barcola as PSG set transfer fee
Transfer interest in Bradley Barcola
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly seeking a significant fee for France forward Bradley Barcola, with both Arsenal and Liverpool showing interest. According to one report, PSG value the 23-year-old at £145m. Another report indicates a £140m price tag has been placed on the player. Barcola is said to be open to a move to Anfield.
Barcola’s potential availability has reportedly increased after it was revealed he will not sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He is currently contracted to the club through 2031, but the prospect of him signing improved terms this summer has reportedly closed, leading to expectations that he could depart this summer.
Liverpool are reportedly actively working on a deal to bring Barcola to Anfield as they aim to replace Mohamed Salah. Arsenal are also said to have been scouting the player this summer. Both clubs are expected to accelerate their interest in Barcola.
Liverpool’s search for wide options
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has stated the club’s need to sign a winger. This demand for attacking reinforcements has intensified following the 2025–26 campaign and the departure of Mohamed Salah. While Liverpool have signed Victor Muñoz for $46 million, the Spanish player is expected to need time to adapt to a new division.
The club’s current wide options include Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha. Federico Chiesa appears likely to leave Anfield this summer. Ngumoha is 17 years old, and Gakpo is coming off an underwhelming season at club level.
Barcola has been identified as a potential solution for Liverpool’s need for an established wide player. His performances for PSG, including 50 goal involvements across the past two campaigns, have drawn attention. He has also featured in World Cup performances this summer.
Competition and other transfer news
Barcola’s talent is noted, but his availability is less certain, as PSG have been reluctant to sanction his exit. However, if PSG were to sign other wingers, such as RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande or Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, Barcola’s playing time could be further restricted. PSG are reportedly front-runners to sign Diomande, who is also considered a target for Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester City.
In other transfer news, Arsenal are reportedly set to accelerate talks over signing Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes. Guimaraes has reportedly expressed a desire for his future to be resolved in the coming week, prior to joining Newcastle’s pre-season training camp.
Real Madrid have reportedly set a price of 160m euros (£137m) for Brazil forward Vinicius Jr, though Arsenal have not opened talks for him. Vinicius Jr’s priority is reportedly to sign a new deal at Real Madrid, where he has one year left on his current contract.
Tottenham are reportedly favourites to sign Brazil winger Savinho from Manchester City. Real Madrid have reportedly agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. Al-Hilal have opened talks over signing Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton. Chelsea will reportedly demand a significant fee for Portugal winger Pedro Neto, with interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, and Saudi Arabian teams. Besiktas are awaiting a decision from Egypt forward Mohamed Salah after submitting their final offer, as he is a free agent after leaving Liverpool. Bournemouth are not looking to sell French striker Junior Kroupi, despite interest from Barcelona. Fulham is reportedly the leading option for Argentina midfielder Franco Mastantuono if Real Madrid sends him on loan next season. Juventus are working on a deal to sign Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United. Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha wants to fight for his place at Bayern Munich, but the club is looking to sell him.
